Security Technical Program Manager Intern

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Game and Platform Security Engineering Team is responsible for ensuring that all EA Games are developed with the security of our players and their personal information as a priority. We partner closely with platform and game development teams to ensure that security issues are identified and resolved throughout the application and service lifecycle.
As a Security Technical Program Manager (TPM) Intern, you will lead planning, implementation, and reporting of projects related to security requirements and risk reduction. You must interact with project sponsors, technical program managers and game and platform teams to deliver security best practices throughout product lifecycles. You will engage with management to ensure proper security considerations are taken into account when making decisions. You should be organized and able to meet deadlines as defined in the project. A Security TPM Intern is also expected to report on project health status and success metrics.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage and lead project teams to define the scope, timeline, requirements and ensure the successful delivery of security programs and operational initiatives
- Develop and implement project management procedures and methodologies to achieve business goals with defined success criteria and lead teams to develop, evaluate, and revise project processes
- Identify project risks and drive the implementation of recommended mitigation solutions
- Drive cross-functional and effective communications throughout the program lifecycle, providing the visibility and transparency required to ensure cross-functional team and stakeholder alignment
- Define and execute security engagement and partnership strategy with internal game and platform teams
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Interest and prior coursework in security engineering and driving security programs
- Project management experience through class projects, clubs or internships
- Analytical and solution-oriented background, with great people skills and structured problem solving capabilities
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to balance the pressures of a fast-paced project environment with the need for a fun, productive group and environment
- Ability to balance multiple demands and work both independently and as part of a team
- Professionalism in dealing with all levels of management and staff
