Ubisoft is looking for a Security Specialist – Privacy who will bring their passion for cybersecurity and privacy to the Shanghai Studio’s Security & Risk Management (SRM) Team.

More precisely, in the role, you’ll act as a subject matter expert in the field of privacy and security to manage risks to Ubisoft’s personal data using risk assessment techniques in APAC, identification of effective remediation strategies, and presenting management with results in meaningful business terms. You will act as the primary point of contact for security activities impacting privacy and guide legal and project teams in their operations.
SRM privacy strategic objectives related to data include:
- Predictability: Supporting reliable assumptions by individuals, owners, and operators about data and their processing by a system;
- Manageability: Supporting the capability for granular administration of data, including collection, alteration, deletion, and selective disclosure;
- Disassociability: Supporting the processing of data or events without association to individuals or devices beyond the operational requirements of the system.
In this role, you are expected to:
- Acquire and stay up to date concerning the knowledge of the applicable legal and compliance obligations as they relate to security controls i.e. CSL, PIPL and DSL;
- Be able to reference and interpret technically relevant privacy standards or international principles to solve security issues related to personal data;
- Acquaint yourself with not only general privacy controls, but specific technologies to implement privacy controls;
- Respond to technical questions related to Privacy from all Ubisoft departments (Business, Marketing, IT, Finance, Procurement, etc.) with the help of Legal teams, especially related to the confidentiality and security of the data
- Handle the relationship with internal managements to support them on decision-making which can have an impact on Ubisoft’s positioning in terms of Privacy
- Identify privacy risks and help define the system privacy requirements;
- Review contracts and negotiations with 3rd parties in order to ensure privacy and security compliance;
- Carry out security evaluations for projects concerning personal data and privacy;
- Define policies, standards and processes to ensure secure data management related to Privacy.
Qualifications
Education and relevant experience
- Bachelor’s in computer science or related field;
- Technical or audit certification in computer security such as CISSP, CISA is an asset;
- Privacy certification such as CIPP, CIPM, CIPT is an asset;
- 3-5 years’ experience in auditing or security consulting;
- Experience in developing corporate policies or guidelines;
- Experience in dealing with privacy-related activities;
- Experience working on privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA.
Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge of the main aspects of information security (processes and technologies);
- Knowledge of diverse technical fields such as: data architecture, human-computer interaction, user experience design, and computer programming;
- Ability to interact with representatives from different sectors, use a pedagogical approach and communicate technical and business concepts to all types of audiences;
- Ability to make decisions quickly in a constantly changing environment and have an innovative approach;
- Capacity to proceed with diligence and a high level of responsibility;
- Ability to synthesize and draft documents that are clear and well structured;
- Excellent analytical, organizational and autonomy skills.
