Security Site Supervisor (San Mateo)
Salary range based on experience and qualification up to $78 K per year

This position has high visibility and is directly accountable for the effective and efficient management of the Security Operations and its officers. The Security Site Supervisor will manage day-to-day activities in the Security Operations and oversee, monitor, and guide the daily job performance of Security personnel.

Main Responsibilities
Specific Duties and Essential Functions
- The Site Supervisor is accountable for day-to-day operations of the account
- Manage hiring/selection, scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development and support
- Build, improve and maintain relationships with clients and employees, as well as develop and retain staff.
- The Site Supervisor will coordinate needed support services and solve problems to effectively run the account and meet or exceed financial and operational goals.
- The Site Supervisor will provide quality customer service, maintains or oversees maintenance of weekly operating schedules and completion of payroll for assigned security personnel.
- Occasional supervision of special events on and off campus at client’s request
- Provide after-hour emergency response as required
The Ideal Candidate
Education, Licenses and Certifications Required
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
- Must possess a current and valid Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Security Officer License issued by the State of California
Type and Length of Specific Experience Required:
- Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in business management, operations, or supervision
- Work history must include demonstrated knowledge of each of the following:
- Conducting security and safety inspections
- Direct management of a security team
- Emergency response procedures
- Must possess one or more of the following:
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience directly managing and supervising a site assigned contract security team
- Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
- Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
- Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
- A minimum of 8 or more years of active service in any military branch
- Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
Skills Required
- Strong oral and written communication
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
- Write informatively, clearly and accurately
- Active listening and ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
- Mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy
- Problem Solving, coaching, mentoring and motivating staff
Other Related Attributes that Would Enhance Hiring Considerations
- Baseline experience managing crisis situations and/or life safety programming a plus
Physical Requirements and Environment
Environment: Corporate office; open work area; exterior as needed; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected
Major activity: Working on PC while sitting or standing; telephone and radio use
Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, to include some standing, walking, bending, limited stretching and reaching
