Security Engineer Intern

The EA Security team protects EA by reducing our exposure to security risks by raising awareness and providing a measured, proportionate set of security and risk management controls, services and solutions.
As a Security Engineer Intern, you will be a member of the Verification & Pentest (VAP) team under the Security Platform Engineering and Anti-Cheat Response (SPEAR) group within the EA Security department. You will help us protect our data and most importantly our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Stand up and evaluate scanning tools against specific targets
- Test for vulnerabilities on EA products running on PC, web, mobile, and consoles, with guidance
- Verify vulnerabilities given reproduction steps and point fixes for specific security vulnerabilities
- Correctly rate the security impact of discovered vulnerabilities and provide accurate reproduction steps
- Give talks and presentations within VAP
- Document well-defined security issues and report them within VAP
Qualifications:
- Experience reviewing and writing code in at least one programming language, such as C++, Java, C#, golang, or scripting languages
- Understanding of the CWE Top 25 and OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
- Familiarity in at least one of the following domains: Networking, OS Internals, Cloud Architecture, Web Frameworks, or Mobile Architecture
- Familiarity in at least one of the following domains: cryptography, authentication mechanisms, authorization controls, or DevSecOps
