Sales Manager

As part of the Game Operations Group , the Sales Manager is responsible for supporting sales across all pre-sale and post-sale client conversations. As the sales product expert, the Sales Manager works cross-functionally to identify creative solutions for strategic marketing programs that mutually deliver against client objectives and align with Gearbox Publishing’s vision.
Annual Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000
Responsibilities
- Responsible for driving revenue and corporate priorities through digital distribution of videogames at major retailers including Sony, Microsoft, Steam and Nintendo.
- Responsible for securing the best possible placement, promotions, and performance for Gearbox Publishing.
- Responsible for driving and implementing new digital opportunities in each of the different platforms, including Gearbox Publishing’s proprietary platform, Arc.
- Tracking and managing sales reports for internal Gearbox departments (Executives, Publishing, Finance, etc.)
- Managing the Pre-Post sale process, from ideation, execution and renewal: exploring opportunities for growth; managing sales and promotions; overseeing product sales’ life cycles.
- Managing and delivering brand opportunities across multiple sales territories, pending the needs of the business. (Potential Travel Required)
- Developing regional awareness, exploring and leveraging local partnerships.
- Evolving Gearbox’s Go-To-Market materials, ensuring our product story and offering is relevant and competitive in an ever-changing digital marketplace.
- Ensuring that marketing assets are optimized and localized appropriately for regional markets while ensuring alignment with the global GTM.
- Working cross-functionally with international teams, Marketing, Production, Business Development, Operations and other Gearbox divisions to ensure the company’s strategic (expansion, territory) and sales objectives are met.
- Determining overall strategic priorities to drive results.
- Leading the analysis of market data, industry dynamics, local market intelligence, product and customer shopping trends to develop insights.
Qualifications
- Over five years' sales/business development experience in gaming or consumer entertainment products.
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills a MUST
- Experience managing and working with digital storefronts
- Experience working with 1st party game platforms (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo)
- Experience in developing sales and insight report
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a busy environment.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort thinking outside of the box
- Collaborative and confident individual who is comfortable navigating complex internal conversations with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong presentation skills are necessary
- Strong customer service attitude including interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a focus on the details; ability to influence decisions at all levels of an organization
- Demonstrated capacity for gathering and scrutinizing data to identify issues, opportunities, patterns, and sustainable business solutions
