Osmo is the first brand from Tangible Play, a company founded in 2013 by former Google engineers Pramod Sharma and Jerome Scholler, now part of BYJU’s, the largest education technology focused platform in the world. By utilizing Tangible Play’s proprietary Reflective Artificial Intelligence, Osmo is a new “learning through play” movement based on critical thinking, reading, math, coding and art that is not only fun but also a rich learning experience for children aged five to 12.
Osmo is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to develop and manage key channel partners in Germany & DACH region. Reporting to the Regional Director, EMEA, the candidate will provide strategic leadership to deliver long term growth and achieve annual/quarterly/monthly revenue targets. The role requires a proven, results-oriented leader who will continue to build on Osmo’s success. This is a key hire within the EMEA team as Tangible Play scales rapidly during a high growth phase.
The position is to be based in Germany (also open to London, UK or Amsterdam, the Netherlands)
Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for strategic development, revenue generation and sell-through performance for the DACH region. Tangible Play is focused on making the DACH region one of the leading territories in our global business.
- Devise and implement strategic business plans to deliver fiscal targets and long term growth.
- Build collaborative and high quality relationships with key channel partners.
- Partner with the marketing and channel marketing teams and agencies to create and execute retail marketing plans.
- Accelerate Tangible Play’s profile across the key partners and retailers by driving strategic partnerships with senior level Execs.
- Provide regular, high quality, accurate and timely management information, revenue forecasts, reports and analysis, and ensure clear visibility and open communication with appropriate global stakeholders.
- Be a participative member of the Osmo sales leadership team in strategy setting, building and establishing goals, policies and procedures etc. Collaborate with account managers to prepare and ensure that account marketing plans, merchandising, promotions and training are executed flawlessly during product launches while driving the overarching brand vision.
- Ongoing and periodic (weekly, daily) reporting and evaluation of Osmo's sales performance vs KPI's, identifying key trends and delivering actionable insights.
- Build market and category knowledge with a solid understanding of Osmo's performance. Identify issues and opportunities to enhance our performance and position within the market
Requirements
- Native or fluent German and Business-level English.
- Creative problem solver - solutions focused and able to confidently present new strategies and ideas to better the business.
- Highly successful and proven track record of sales in the DACH region (demonstrable achievement of sales targets a must)
- Current relationships and extensive network of retailer buyers in the entertainment/video games/toys/consumer electronics verticals preferred.
- Proven experience of managing the introduction of new and innovative products to retail channels.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, written and presentation skills.
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to translate data into accurate forecasts and actionable insights.
- Self-starter but with experience in leading, managing and motivating successful sales teams.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, the ability to engage at different levels of the business, be flexible in thinking and collaboration across the business.
- A history of effectively managing and working with cross-functional teams to build new capabilities, implementing programs and initiatives.
- Balanced time management between high-level strategic thinking and a willingness to roll-up your sleeves to get the job done.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including presenting business building plans and strategies.
- Travel is required. Work during early evenings required due to the time difference with headquarters in California.
- Startup experience is beneficial.
