Position Summary
Position Summary:
A Scientific Games Sales Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for representing the Oklahoma Lottery and Scientific Games Inc. daily in retailer locations throughout the state. SAM’s are responsible for managing the Oklahoma Lottery products and policies in retail accounts within their designated sales territory. They are responsible for managing a sales and expense budget within their assigned region. The SAM will travel, utilizing a company vehicle, to their assigned retailers on the route. Each SAM works together with the Oklahoma Lottery and the Scientific Games Inc. team to grow sales, enhance merchandising, increase recruitment and train the retailers. The position requires the ability to work with minimal daily supervision as well as work independently.
Job Functions:
Sales
- Accountable to exceed weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
- Conduct business review presentations with key decision makers at the manager and Divisional manager level
- Establish and maintain rapport with decision makers at each retailer
- Analyze and utilize data daily to influence retail decision makers on their Lottery needs
- Promote Oklahoma Lottery products upon each retailer visit
- Create retailer action plans to increase incremental sales at key retailers
- Grow the Oklahoma Lottery Instant game portfolio by increasing Bin count utilizing sales performance data
- Educate retailers and lottery players on all instant and draw games provided by the lottery
- Visit all retailers on the established territory route schedule per week
- Participate and engage in all Scientific Games Inc. and Oklahoma Lottery sales meetings
Merchandising
- Conduct promotions at the retailer level, interreacting with the retailer and lottery consumer/players
- Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained for every retailer within the designated route territory
- Provide each retailer with updated Point of Sale material upon each sales call
- Ensure all products are in stock and ready to be sold
- Achieve and maintain the best placement for all Lottery games and Point of Sale material in each retail establishment
- Ensure the proper placement of each Instant game to maintain plan-o-gram integrity
- Adhere to all Oklahoma Lottery policies and procedures within each retailer
- Maintain all proper Lottery information guides in each retailer
- Ensure all equipment is working correctly upon each retail sales call
- Document each sales call electronically
Retailer Recruitment
- Identify potential locations which could possibly sell Oklahoma lottery games
- Meet or exceed all quarterly recruitment targets/goals
- Present all Lottery products and the benefits of selling Oklahoma Lottery products to potential businesses
- Execute the entire application process with potential new customers
- Set up and train new Oklahoma Lottery Retailers
Retailer Training
- Conduct training with retailer employees on the policies and procedures of the Oklahoma Lottery
- Educate Lottery customers/players while working in retail locations
- Provide hands-on training for Scientific Games Inc. and Oklahoma Lottery retailer equipment.
General Responsibilities:
- Maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism in completing all responsibilities and duties while representing both Scientific Games Inc, and the Oklahoma Lottery
- Adhere and uphold all policies set forth by Scientific Games Inc and the Oklahoma Lottery
- Maintain a safe work environment and clean driving record
- Perform annual training requirements
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales or related field or equivalent experience of 4 years minimum
- Experience with the Lottery operation/industry is preferred
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record (to be maintained)
Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to remain tactful and diplomatic in difficult situations
- Ability to train others on products and promotions
- Ability to quickly troubleshoot both mechanical and system issues
- Positive and self-motivated attitude
- Ability to work individually and with others as a team
