As Senior System Administrator, you ensure excellent IT support for the company and strive for improvements.You will own technology our employees use on a day-to-day basis. If dealing with various systems and operating systems and having direct contact to your customers is your thing, you're the one we're looking for!
Responsibilities
- Linux Server Administration for various Office IT services (SAP, Asterisk phone system, JIRA issue tracker, Confluence knowledge management)
- Windows Server Administration for various Office IT services (Active Directory authentication, File sharing solutions, DMS document management, Banking software)
- Office Network administration (WiFi, Ethernet)
- Workstation hardware administration
- Consult, support, setup, configure, test, repair, inventorize
- Target group oriented documentation
- Support innovation
- Coordinate external service providers and internal departments
- Ensure 9x5 uptime
- Drive to simplify or automate the whole setup as much as possible
- Make sure backup and restore procedures work as required
- Perform OS level patch management
- Coordinate application level patch management
- Participate in long-term projects
- Mentor and advice junior team members
Requirements
- University degree or training in the field of Computer Science, Computer Engineering or comparable qualification
- 5+ years of professional experience in a comparable position
- Extensive knowledge in office technologies (Windows Clients, Mac OS Clients, Active Directory, networking basics, VoIP, conference systems, etc.)
- Ability to deliver execution quality on a daily basis in a dynamic environment on tight deadlines
- Expert knowledge and understanding of required technologies, processes and tools
- Ability to identify improvement potential for services rendered to employees (cost, service level)
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate well with technical as well as non-technical stakeholders
- Good problem analysis skills and ability to find simple, robust and efficient solutions for complex problems
- Understanding of "Agility", including core values, guiding principles, and key agile practices
- Management/lead experience is a plus
- You are a team player who enjoys working with other departments on shared goals
- Fluent in written and spoken English
