SDET Lead - TableTop Engineering

You will be responsible for the Test Planning, Testing, and Test Reporting on our TableTop Engineering products, including EventLink, Companion App, and the Store and Event Locator website. You'll work embedded with a senior development and product team to help us ensure we maintain our high levels of quality. As members of a multidisciplinary team responsible for testing in the Digital Platforms group at Wizards, we contribute code and make recommendations for improvements to our technologies and processes. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in the testing of microservices, mobile applications, and websites while championing quality and having fun doing it!
- Continuously Plan, Test, and Report for products which enhance and contribute value to our Magic: The Gathering play experiences.
- Grow and lead a team of SDETs responsible for iOS, Android, web, and back end services validation and verification.
- Cooperatively define and monitor quality goals and appropriate testing strategies with engineering and product leaders.
- Build the framework that allows product owners, developers, testers, and business partners to know the status of testing and quality at any time.
- Assign duties to project testers and aid in their progress.
- Guide and mentor other testers in process and technology.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, processes, and reporting.
- Recommend improvements in tools and methods.
- Assist in championing the value of Quality within the company.
- Help with testing and other duties as needed.
- We're working in C#, .Net 5, GraphQL, REST, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node, React, Postgres, MongoDB, Go, Kubernetes, AWS, helm, Argo CD, GitLab, Terraform, Istio, Playwright, Pactflow, Ginkgo, SonarQube, and Honeycomb.
What You'll Bring:
- 8+ years crafting software with Agile software teams.
- 2+ years technical leadership of teams testing sophisticated and scalable cloud architecture and user applications.
- 2+ years growing teams and mentoring the careers of software engineering professionals.
- Outstanding development, planning, and multi-tasking skills with the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced and experimental environment. Must be ready to embrace ambiguity and take action.
- Strong time-management skills with a proven track record of focusing on priorities, solving problems, and balancing multiple tasks.
