Job Overview
The SAP Enterprise Architect is responsible for analyzing and translating business information (requirements from functional teams) and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions to achieve complex business objectives. The Enterprise Architect is responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of an SAP ecosystem within a wider financial systems ecosystem and has big picture ownership of generational technologies comprising the SAP investment.

What will you do?
- Partners with and provides architectural leadership to our technical development teams to deliver thoughtful IT solutions to the business. Works collaboratively with enterprise architecture, information security, application & infrastructure teams to produce a optimal, high level, conceptual, and cost effective designs
- Sets and influences SAP strategic direction. Demonstrates the ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements and understands the long-term and short-term perspectives of an IT investment situation. Works closely with stakeholders from various lines of business to develop architecture blueprints and realistic roadmaps
- Analyzes the current SAP architecture to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvement such as enhancing business processes, expanding capacity, reducing time & cost, and increasing overall effectiveness. Acts as an arbitrator, as needed, to bring the appropriate parties together to drive discussions to decisions in a timely manner
- Documents the SAP enterprise architecture design and analysis work. Owns and documents the overall SAP application architecture based on industry standard architectural frameworks. Develops a capability road map of the enterprise portfolio from current to future state
- Consults with application or infrastructure development projects to fit systems or infrastructure to the broader company architecture, and collaboratively partners with delivery teams to modify the solution architecture in order to accommodate a specific project need
- Analyzes technology industry, market trends and impact of SaaS/Cloud and determines the potential impact on the enterprise. Maintains relationship with SAP ecosystem vendors and maintains vendor roadmaps. Facilitates the evaluation and selection of software product standards
- Directs the governance activities associated with ensuring EA compliance, particularly as relating to the SAP environmental infrastructure
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related study, is required. MBA or MS in a relevant computing field is preferred though equivalent practical experience will be considered
- Strong experience in architecting SAP solutions: SAP, SAP ERP/ECC, SAP BO/BW, SAP HANA, Business Objects, SAP NetWeaver with specific emphasis on PI, BI, Master Data Management and SAP Mobility
- Has been in an architecture leadership role in 2+ full lifecycle SAP implementations, including post implementation experience. Experience working in an environment with heavy mix of SaaS and on-prem applications
- At least fifteen years of experience in areas such as application design and development, application integration, middleware, database management or operations, information security, technical architecture, network management, mobility
- Demonstrates well rounded technology experience/exposure - Java, Microsoft, IBM, Open Source, CA, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, etc.
- Proven ability to develop detailed solution designs. Understands architecture constructs and patterns, protocols such as TOGAF and development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
- Self-starter who thrives in an ever-changing, fast-paced business environment
- Excellent project management, organizational and planning skills
- Experienced in working with a Program Management Office (PMO)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
