Our Finance and Accounting teams build the financial infrastructure to scale our growing company. We work closely with teams across the company, international subsidiaries, as well as with external partners to ensure a world-class finance organization. Our team contains experts from fields like tax, treasury, purchasing, FP&A, and more.

What you’ll do

As our Revenue Analyst/Accountant, you will analyze and process complex revenue data and

have the primary responsibility to ensure the complete and accurate recording of revenue across

each of our revenue streams. You will cover the full revenue lifecycle from KYC, customer DD, invoicing, cash collection, accounts receivable management, VAT/GST calculation and return preparation, and balance sheet reconciliations. You will be responsible for providing insights into operational matters relating to our Revenue cycle, direction on technical accounting issues that may arise during the ordinary course of business. As the main point of contact daily interactions with our payment processing partners, you will be responsible for building these relationships and working with them and internal stakeholders to improve existing revenue recognition processes. You will collaborate with various teams including Group Tax, IT, Legal, FP&A, and other subsidiary accountants, to identify and shape our processes and policies to ensure that we appropriately account for revenue.

status quo and make improvements to support the Company’s growth ambitions. You are hands-on, flexible, self-motivated, and a team player. The position requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

In this role, you will

• B e responsible for the revenue recognition process from cash-to-clearing, including VAT compliance on digital sales and overseeing credit control activities.

• Drive revenue accounting month-end close processes by creating and validating cash receipts and accruals, preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring policy compliance, and developing customised reporting.
• Document the Revenue Recognition processes and revenue accounting treatment in accordance with ASC 606 and company policies.
• Design, implement and operate key business process controls with the Revenue cycle, to ensure that the company has an effective and scalable internal controls framework.
• Have a continuous focus on process and control improvements that are required, and the ability to communicate these to Management.
• Build cross-functional working relationships within the company and externally, and provide technical guidance, training, and support to the Finance, Legal and Business Development teams.
• Work actively with external auditors to ensure that revenue recognition interpretations are consistent and adhere to GAAP at consolidated level as well as at local statutory level.
• Provide input for forecast with respect to revenue impact and respond to ad-hoc queries relating to the Revenue process.
• Gain a solid understanding of business transactions and accounting flow, whilst identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives related to revenue processes, including reporting, data gathering, analysis and enhancement of existing processes for efficiency and effectiveness.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, or related field.
• 3+ years’ US GAAP software revenue recognition experience and familiarity with US GAAP revenue recognition accounting guidance such as ASC 605 and ASC 606 (or IFRS 15).
• Strong communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to summarize key accounting and operational issues to management.
• Knowledge of international digital sales taxes.
• Complex analytic problem solving and project management skills.
• Independent and self-starter with a “can-do” attitude.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel (complex formula, VBA, macros and pivot tables).
• Experience with Microsoft Access or equivalent (preferred but not required).
• Chartered Accountancy qualification or equivalent (preferred but not required).
