Job Description:
Wargaming is looking for a Research Project Manager for our growing Center of Player Insights. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for research vendors in the US Market.
By maintaining relationships with research vendors and understanding the services offered, you will be able to advise the best solution to game teams and therefore directly influence the development of our products.
You will contribute to establishing research compacities in the US market for our live service games, as well as in-development titles. You will work closely with researchers from Center for Player Insights and game teams.
In this role, you will also have an opportunity to develop your qualitive, quantitative, and mixed methods research skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Seek out and assess new research vendors that offer services for specific business needs.
- Recommend research vendors to stakeholders considering business needs, methodologies, budgets, and timelines.
- Manage onboarding process for research vendors.
- Set clear expectations with research vendors and advise on appropriate study design and high-quality study execution.
- Develop and maintain productive and long-standing relationships with vendors to ensure sufficient research capabilities within the US Market.
- Plan and execute in-house research studies through qualitive, quantitative, or mixed methods and effectively communicate results to stakeholders, focusing on recommendations.
- Support the development and be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the playtesting lab in Austin, TX.
Job Requirements:
- Experience working with vendors (gathering requirements, writing a brief, researching and selecting vendors, managing proposals, and contracts).
- Experience with end-to-end research (either in-house or in an external agency).
- Understanding the applicability of various research methods (quantitative and qualitative) for different business needs.
- Ability to foster and maintain relationships across the company and vendors.
- Passion for games and game user experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Readiness to travel within the US to meet with/review vendors in their locations.
Additional Skills:
- Good command of UX Research
- Understanding of the game development process
- Experience playing Wargaming Titles
