About the role
This role involves assisting researchers, who test digital content with kids (e.g. apps, TV shows, and publications).
This may involve a number of research methodologies; you will be testing products with children and asking for their feedback, either face to face or online.
For our face to face research (known in research as ‘qualitative’ research), we hold test sessions where children are asked to test products and provide their feedback on them. Your involvement in this process would be: to test the product being tested (e.g. game, toy, programme), use your knowledge of the product to help design the discussion guide, co-moderate with our experienced moderators, write up notes, attend analysis brainstorms and have input in writing the report.
For our online research, we conduct online surveys (known in research as ‘quantitative’ research). Your involvement in this process would be: learn to design surveys, chart data and eventually interpret the data to help build a report.
Capabilities
- Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Keen interest in working with numbers and analysing data
- Ability to meet deadlines and excellent organisational skills
- First rate attention to detail
- A ‘can do’ attitude to all tasks
- Enthusiasm to take on new tasks and challenges
- Happy to work both within a team and autonomously
