Unity is a cross-platform game engine developed by Unity Technologies and is used by a large number of developers to build and power their real-time applications.
The opportunity
In the rendering group located in Grenoble, our goal is to enable content creation, rendering and post-processing. We are looking for hardworking research engineers. They may participate in crafting products and producing program code for those designs. Their responsibilities also include the evaluation of code and the performance of the applications and software produced.
The main activity will be implementing research algorithms related to the current team’s project. The team currently focuses on rendering, appearance representation, real-time, texture synthesis, style transfer, scanning, and 3D reconstruction. We mainly work with real-time and offline rendering prototypes (e.g. OpenGL and Mitsuba/PBRT) and machine learning frameworks (e.g. Tensorflow/Pytorch).
The other part of your job will be to promote the projects developed by the team internally and externally. Internally means making the connection between our labs and other departments. This means discussing with the team and possibly attending their events. Promoting externally means packaging and distributing our demos and showcasing them at public events such as Unite, GDC, etc.
What you'll be doing
- Responsible for developing and maintaining research prototypes
- Evaluating their potential for users (internal or external)
- Evaluating internal needs for research with respect to R&D’s roadmap
What we're looking for
- Programming skills: C++, MATLAB, Python, ML libraries, OpenGL, Unity
- Mathematical skills: rendering, science, noise removal, texture generation, geometry processing, representation of appearance, optimization
- Understanding and implementing research papers
