Research Analyst

The World of Tanks Economy & Monetization Design team at Wargaming is looking to hire a Research Analyst who is passionate about games and can harness their analytical skill to make them better.

In this role, you will research and evolve World of Tanks in terms of economy and monetization, while working in close collaboration with the game design team and use your expertise to evaluate features in terms of economic cohesion. As our work is application-oriented, each colleague’s performance has a direct impact on the game.

We need a passionate specialist who is not scared to face challenges and is capable of both running quality data analysis and advocating the results of their study.

What will you do?

• Monitor and analyze the economy of the product both at a micro- and macro-level
• Run a comprehensive evaluation of the potential of the product features at the pre-production stage and analyze their performance after they’ve been released
• Formulate insights based on data and contribute your expertise to help design new monetization and game mechanics

What are we looking for?

• 1+ years’ experience analyzing data, preparing reports and visualizing studies
• Knowledge of basic statistical methods for analyzing data
• Understanding of basic game and monetization metrics
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
• Intermediate or higher level of English (both written and verbal communication skills)
• Ability to perform well under stress and work to tight deadlines
• On-going gaming experience and/or a background in the games industry

What will help you stand out?

• Eager to learn and absorb large amounts of information within a short time
• Knowledge of SQL allowing for data mining and processing; experience working with Oracle and Impala/Hive
• Experience dealing with data visualization systems (Tableau)
• Hands-on experience with common R/Python libraries that process statistical data
• Gaming experience in World of Tanks (1000+ battles)
