Summary
As Rendering Programmer, you will be reporting to the Lead Engine & Tools Programmer and working in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. You will be responsible for the implementation of rendering functionalities to reach the quality and performance targets of the project.
Responsibilities
- Work with the programming and art teams to optimize the game in order to reach the performance targets on console
- Identify the bottlenecks in the rendering pipeline and establish good practices and processes with the tech art team to address performance issues
- Implement solutions in engine to optimize game graphics performances
- Mentor other programmers on rendering and optimization
- Implement rendering features and tools to support the artist in creating unique visual effects for the game
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, training or equivalent experience
- A minimum of five (5) years experience in the video game industry in a rendering/graphics programmer role
- Delivered at least 1 video game, preferably on console
- Excellent C++ programming skills
- Experience with Unreal is an asset
- Excellent understanding of CPU and GPU bottlenecks
- Experience with commonly used development tools, including Visual Studio and Perforce
- Motivated, proactive and demonstrates a strong professional ethic
- Ability to adapt to change
