Position Overview
Zynga is looking for new talent to join our Release Operations team. The team’s main responsibility is to handle our global releases to our customers around the world. This role’s aim is to help facilitate this by building and maintaining tools to make us more efficient whilst also assisting in the management of the releases themselves. You will be part of a distributed team working with multiple projects and teams collaborating with the Manager, Release Operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Build, maintain and manage tools and services that automate, facilitate and improve the distribution of products to various platform storefronts
- Proactively fix new and existing tools to find and resolve bugs
- Assist in the releases of Zynga’s global game catalogue to our users via the Google Play Store, Apple App Store and other non-mobile platforms.
- Build and manage relationships with product teams to ensure smooth delivery of graphical assets, metadata and builds to publishing partner store fronts
- Drive submission and release standard methodologies with game teams by identifying areas of improvement and rolling out new processes
- Provide clear and concise information to partners and the leadership team to reduce risks for app releases
- Work closely with the other members of the release team in Zynga across North America, India, and the UK
- Work side-by-side with software engineers and partners to build, develop and maintain tools for the release operations team and wider Zynga community.
- Own tools and issues, from concept to product, ensuring fullstack coverage and contribution (backend and frontend work).
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related academic qualification
- 1+ year of experience in Software Engineer
- Shown interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate and establish relationships with multi-functional, multi-regional teams is important
- Ability to adapt and work in a constantly evolving, fast-paced, work environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize engineering decisions effectively and in line with business needs
- A pro-active self-starter, excellent teammate and works well with others
- Proven track record to work independently, problem solve, and build informative documentation
- A want to learn new skills quickly, work efficiently and keep a cool head in lively times
- Experience learning and maintaining existing code
- Understanding of app/game development lifecycles
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies
- Experience in automation and related tooling
- Understanding of Object Oriented programming concepts
- Source Control Management: Git
