Release Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
The Release Manager will play a key role in laying the groundwork for preparing to launch and support multiple AAA games across next-generation console platforms. This individual will also work with cross functional teams to support ongoing live operations for our current catalog of games on consoles, PC, and game streaming services.
You will be responsible for driving consistent submissions against the company’s defined compliance tasks on console, PC, and across a series of projects and game teams. You will be responsible for leading the creation, education, and adoption of new tools, systems, and best practices required for the setup and submission to 1st Party platforms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create a unified release experience across BNEA and work with partners to ensure content submissions and approvals meet release schedules
- Compile and review submission documentation (code and metadata) and execute 1st party code and metadata submissions
- Validate and maintain master submission, asset delivery, and product release schedules for worldwide releases
- Manage digital and physical products on 1 st party portals for development, testing, submission, and release
- Analyze project risks and define mitigation efforts
- Register and manage online services/game features on 1st party sites for dev/test
- Generate and communicate schedule and quality parameters with internal and external service teams
- 1st party communication (waiver requests, schedule changes, slot booking) and handle 1st party negotiations/escalations
- Execute game concept submissions
- Coordinate with Channel and Sales teams to distribute digital voucher codes and manage distribution to necessary internal and external parties
- Coordinate with teams in the US, Europe, and Japan on package design, product manual creation, PR, and other product release efforts
- Coordinate with licensors on required specifications and communicate accordingly and departments for finance and legal requirements
- Evaluate and develop new processes for improved department coordination and communication
- Evaluate and develop new processes for improved product distribution and worldwide releases
- Provide gameplay feedback on titles being released by our Publishing and Distribution teams
- Provide training in 1 st party submissions for future employees
- Maintain project lifecycle management including setup and archive for our products
- Create project postmortems
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledgeable with 1 st party submission procedures and tools
- Demonstrated understanding of QA processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to manage multiple projects effectively
- Maintain an understanding of all game genres and possess an intuitive understanding of what impacts the end user experience
- Keep current with new and emerging game software technologies
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year QA testing experience
- 3+ years of experience with 1 st party video game submissions
