The Release Team at Gearbox is growing! We are looking for a Build and Release Engineer to join us in taking our Release processes to the next level. As a member of a critical team, you will be empowered to help shape and define the future of release efforts as we embark on supporting more platforms and more titles.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement, maintain, and optimize build systems across multiple projects and platforms
  • Provision, monitor, and manage build infrastructure servicing multiple projects
  • Help guide R&D efforts for build infrastructure and future release processes
  • Manage and improve source control structure
  • Architect support tools that automate core release processes
  • Prioritize disparate build requests from multiple teams
  • Own and implement game platform features such as DLC creation and content packaging
  • Assist the team with certification requirements as they relate to release
  • Be available to support project build delivery during major milestones

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related technical discipline
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • Game development experience on Xbox Series X and/or PlayStation 5
  • Experience with C#, C++
  • Experience with scripting languages (Ruby, PowerShell, or similar)
  • Experience with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, or similar)
  • Experience with source control management (Perforce, Git, or similar)
  • Experience maintaining build systems across multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to collaborate with teams of varying disciplines

Bonus Points For:

  • Perforce expertise
  • Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Unreal Engine 5 development
  • .NET Core
  • Experience with Ansible, Chef, Docker, or similar
  • Multiple platform experience (Windows, Linux, OSX)
  • Experience with Steamworks or Epic Games Store
