Fishlabs is currently seeking a Technical Animator to join our dynamic animation team, collaborating closely with programmers and designers to breathe life into our upcoming game. We are in search of a skilled individual who can elevate our characters to unprecedented levels by creating immersive and interactive animations within an exciting new third-person shooter experience.
Your Mission
- Proficiently utilize Unreal Engine to design and build animation systems and behaviors.
- Engage in cross-departmental collaboration to prototype, address, and integrate technical animation features.
- Take responsibility for the development and upkeep of the animation pipeline.
- Actively collaborate with design, programming, and creative direction teams.
- Effectively communicate and document animation processes and recommended practices.
- Conduct research and stay updated on industry-specific animation technologies and share acquired knowledge.
- Plus: Perform rigging and skinning tasks for both humanoid characters and creatures.
- Timezone +/-3 CEST.
Your Skillset
- 3+ years professional experience in a similar position is a must.
- Strong aptitude and knowledge of modern art asset production pipelines.
- Must: Multiple years of experience with Maya and Unreal Engine.
- A discerning eye for art quality and a keen eye for inconsistencies.
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Be highly organized and adherent to processes.
- Strong ability to work under pressure and resolve problems and conflicts.
- Self-driven and a collaborative spirit and positive attitude.
Plus:
- Strong art fundamentals (form, color, composition).
- Experienced in working with motion capture.
- A passion for video games.
