POSITION SUMMARY:
- As our Compensation and Benefits leader, you will build, own, thought partner, and strategize on all things benefits & compensation for the Americas’ Region.
- The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting employees in a wide variety of HR activities, including staffing and on-boarding, compensation and benefits, employee relations, employee engagement, company events, training and development, health and safety administration (OSHA and Workers’ Comp) policy interpretation and application, compliance of labor laws/regulatory requirements and HR/Payroll System transactions. Interfaces with Global HR staff on HR projects and implements new or revised policies, processes and programs and HR operations on day to day HR activities.
- This role will begin as a Work from Home position but depending on location may be working PT in an office

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is not an exhaustive list of functions, responsibilities may vary dependent on the need of the role and changing business environment.
- Work with HR Director in managing, organizing, and executing compensation strategy and benefits programs of all compensation elements
- Key player in shaping the future of our compensation and benefits strategy
- Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, dental, vision, life , and disability
- Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies. Resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives.
- Analyze, design, and administer global employee benefits programs: health and welfare, retirement plans, including 401k, pensions, etc while partnering with our Brokers
- Perform job evaluations; collect and analyze market data; maintain salary survey data; maintain and update role descriptions
- Support the annual global compensation processes
- Assist HR manager in completing benefits reporting requirements.
- Researching changes in laws and regulations and analyzing their impact on the organization
- Staying up-to-date on employee-related legislative and regulatory changes and/or developments
- Ensure that changes to rules and regulations are carried out with HR systems, practices , and policies
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Additional special projects as needed
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of previous experience in compensation
- Must have 2-3 years experience with self-funded healthcare plans (or semi self-funded)
- History of exercising good judgment and discretion with a background of strong ethical character capable of handling confidential information
- Proven excellence in organizational and planning skills; problem analysis and problem-solving skills
- Ability to toggle between strategic planning, customer-focused design, and hands-on operational excellence
- Ability to operate within a global, virtual HR team
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to rigorously measure and analyze the right things to meet business objectives
- Demonstrated project management experience, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Desire to work as a team player
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS and talent management systems
- Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related.
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive Comp and Benefit experience.
- Managed and/or supervised 2-3 employees
