The Recruitment Lead is responsible for clearing the runway for the recruiters to attract, assess and recruit talent into the Sumo Group from as much of the external talent pool as possible. This will be achieved through identifying process bottlenecks, capability gaps and developing plans to improve our recruitment opportunities.

We aim to hire the best talent in the shortest possible amount of time whilst ensuring that the candidate experience is constantly improved. The role is varied, with the your hands on the recruitment process, you’ll be able to steer how it evolves with the growth of our existing studios and the injection of new studios. You have an integral role in helping the function evolve alongside the business.

The role would best suit a candidate with previous full-cycle recruitment experience and some management experience.
In your role you will:
- Lead the discipline specialist recruiters within the team.
- Interrogate the processes to drive improvements to our existing recruitment processes.
- Develop great working relationships with your hiring teams.
- Support and nurture the Recruiters and the Talent Acquisition Manager to deliver a first-class service to the business.
- Identify areas of improvement to achieve a better candidate experience and/or candidate pipeline conversion
- Develop an industry events plan to attend/create and promote the right events to attract talent
- Work closely with the Sourcing Lead to drive great processes and ensure all candidate input channels are maximised.
- Own recruitment for non-development areas.
- Identify and work with the team to develop capability, championing and supporting their development
- Be the ambassador for Sumo studios at industry events throughout the year.
- Develop strong reporting on recruitment success.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize data and trends in order to prepare recruiting and hiring reports.
We need you to have:
- Previous experience in recruitment
- Prior management experience with the ability to demonstrate skills is key, from either direct line management, project management or task management
- Experience of engaging and collaborative management techniques
- Experience of assessing talent and offering recommendations to the wider team and hiring managers.
- The confidence to share and implement process change to continue to improve our maturing recruitment function.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft office suite of products and have experience with Applicant Tracking System’s (ATS’s).
- The ability to build great relationships with the wide range characters across the business, with our service providers and most importantly with our diverse candidate pool.
- Strong communication skills, whether that be in a face to face scenario, over the phone or via email.
