This opportunity is for a full-time position in Chicago, IL or Orlando, FL. Iron Galaxy employees are all working from home through the end of 2020 due to COVID-19. This WFH policy extends to anyone that Iron Galaxy hires between now and then. All new-hire onboarding is being done remotely, and any equipment that you might need for projects at Iron Galaxy will be shipped directly to you.
Iron Galaxy Studios is looking for an experienced Recruiting Manager to manage all aspects of sourcing and hiring to find the amazing and diverse people we need as we continue to grow quickly in the years to come.
The Recruiting Manager will develop the plan for our future growth and create and manage the processes needed to execute on that plan. They will oversee the hiring pipeline as well as all academic, institutional outreach efforts, working with both internal and external recruiters. The ideal person for this position is passionate about finding and hiring the best and brightest people in the world, and sees Recruiting as a key driver of a company’s growth.
Core Responsibilities
- Create and champion a clear vision, strategy and set of values for our recruiting in 2021 and beyond
- Develop a strategy for further diversifying our potential talent pool, and create a plan that weaves this strategy throughout all of these responsibilities
- Manage an internal recruiting team, providing day-to-day mentorship, coaching, and prioritization to the standards established for all people managers at Iron Galaxy
- Review and improve upon our hiring pipeline/processes, identifying ways to improve our time-to-offer
- Manage academic outreach with several university game development, art and technology programs; review the efficacy of these programs and investigate additions and alternatives on a periodic basis
- Manage the relationship with external recruiting agencies, including contract negotiations, the lifecycle of introduced candidates, and regularly reviewing the need for additional agencies
- Create KPIs and regular progress reporting to help measure your and your team’s success
Qualifications: If you possess many or most of these qualities, you’re probably a great fit!
- 7+ years of experience in a recruiting function
- 2+ years of experience overseeing the recruiting for a game or technology company
- Experience with directly managing one or more internal Recruiters or HR personnel
- Experience working with external recruiters / headhunters
- Experience working with universities or with trade organizations for outreach efforts and for sourcing new talent
- Self-driven and able to run a small team with only periodic oversight
- Very comfortable with technology; able to communicate quickly and professionally over email, chat, job boards and other mediums.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
