What We Need:
Are you a recruiter with experience in hiring in the games industry? Do you have a passion and eye great talent? If so, we may need you on our team!The recruiting team at Hangar 13 is on a journey to become strategic talent advisors and are focused on developing a direct sourcing model and deep understanding of the talent market. We also pride ourselves on delivering the very best candidate experience and hiring manager satisfaction and continue to raise the talent bar with the great talent we bring in to the studio.
This rare and exciting opportunity, based out of our new and fantastic Brighton studio, requires a naturally fast-paced, proactive, organised, customer centric and passionate recruiter to manage full lifecycle recruitment.
What You Will Do:
- Manage the full end to end lifecycle recruitment process providing exceptional, first-class recruiting support for our hiring managers
- Proactively identify, map and engage with top industry talent in line with our current and future requirements
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results and credibility
- Source candidates who believe in our vision and culture. Our goal is not to solely fill vacancies, but rather identify the best talent who want to take the next step in their careers and be a part of something very special
- Participate in all recruitment events including but not limited to job fairs, on-campus recruiting, open houses, and public speaking events
- Work closely with hiring managers to understand job requirements, profile of successful candidates and hiring processes
- Administer the company's applicant tracking system and associated policies and processes
- Market Hangar 13 across and proactively source candidates from, numerous online mediums, social networking sites, job boards, universities etc. leveraging the most relevant and creative tools to source and recruit the very best talent
- Pre-screen CV’s and conduct initial phone/video interviews
- Organise, lead and document post-interview debrief/feedback sessions with interview teams and candidates
- Manage logistics of all interviews between candidates and hiring managers
- Develop networking strategies including cold calling passive candidates and leveraging networking sites (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter)
- Actively promote and market our Employee Referral Programme
- Develop an effective pipeline of key talent potentially available for immediate hire as project needs dictate
- We would prefer someone who can be onsite in our studio location in Brighton at least 3 days per week

We are a small and scrappy team of full life cycle recruiters. We source, we cold call, we are constantly looking for creative ways to find talent. We are a TEAM, and we work in partnership together to help each other to succeed. We strive always to collaborate with our hiring managers to help make them better, more effective hiring experts.
- Experience recruiting in the games industry (ideally with an emphasis on Design)
- Preferred candidate will have experience as an in-house recruiter in video game development/or creative studio environment (video games, animation, VFX)
- Experience and ability to review CV’s/portfolios and evaluate them against the needs of our teams and projects
- Proficient in direct sourcing techniques (including Boolean and X-ray)
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work with swiftly changing priorities
- Excellent organisational skills & multitasking abilities
- Accustomed to documenting your work daily in an ATS
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet strict deadlines
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to deal effectively with diverse individuals at all organisational levels
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Creative and innovative team player
- Skilled in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Who We Are:
Hangar 13 is the internal 2K development studio behind the award-winning Mafia III. The studio is comprised of industry veterans drawn from a diverse range of studios, who have collectively shipped hundreds of titles across a wide variety of genres. Though we hail from all over the world, and our backgrounds are wildly different, one thing binds us all together – the belief that “Every Player’s Story is Unique.”
Hangar 13 is based in four locations: Novato (California), Brighton (UK), and Brno & Prague (Czech Republic). We are currently hard at work on our next AAA titles.
This role is based at our brand-new Brighton location, who partner with the other Hangar 13 sites to develop all of our games as one global team. Hangar 13’s Brighton location provides the opportunity to work on big-budget, AAA console and PC games in the coolest city in the UK! Onsite amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, games room, gym (with showers) and our very own bar. We’re a 30 second walk from Brighton station.
