R&D Programmer Assistant – Implementation of offline ML for navigation – La Forge (6 months internship)

In its effort to integrate AI models in video games, Ubisoft La Forge is looking for an intern to explore various offline Machine Learning models applied to the navigation of player-like bots in games.
This internship would be 6 months long, and would be focused on developing and integrating state-of-the-art techniques for different concrete use-cases in real games.
The intern will thus participate in extending the possibilities offered by AI at Ubisoft. It includes both understanding state-of-the-art research in the field, but also being able to implement these approaches in python. The intern will also perform an evaluation of the produced models in internal prototypes and inside games in collaboration with production. This internship is not a research internship but an engineering one, in a R&D team.
- Master 2 student with a machine learning component
- Python and C++
- English professional level to collaborate with non-French speakers.
- Knowledge of classical deep learning frameworks (pytorch, jax) is a plus
