Quest Designer

Are you looking for an opportunity to work remotely with a team of passionate game developers? Are you a reliable, effective, and quality focused Designer that can level up a project and the team around you? If so, here is an opportunity for a mid-level or Senior designer to iterate and grow with our team on our ambitious new title.
As a Quest Designer, you will work closely with all disciplines to design, write, implement, document, provide feedback and maintain content as we bring our project to the top console platforms.
What You Will Do
- Design quest content that tells engaging stories and introduces new mechanics to the game
- Implement quests via Unreal Engine and custom-built, proprietary tools
- Write quest descriptions and other limited in-game text
- Maintain legacy content and make required bug fixes
- Collaborate with artists, engineers and other designers as needed
- Spearhead content-related initiatives
- Proactively pursue tools and systems needs to accommodate evolving quest types
- Cross-team collaboration to plan quest content releases based on high level direction
Need to Have
- BA or equivalent
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Thoughtful, constructive, and clear written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrable skill working with game toolsets
- Experience working in a collaborative environment with cross disciplinary groups
- A minimum of 4 years of experience working in a design capacity on video games or other interactive media
- Organizational skills and ability to prioritize efforts
- Experience creating mods or content for Unreal or similar toolsets
- Development experience on a multiplayer, online, or service-based game
Nice to Have
- Experience shipping a AAA game
- Experience maintaining a live game
- Strong knowledge and interest in evolving content and storytelling
- Solid debugging experience
- Experience with writing and a writing portfolio featuring their strongest work - highlighting exceptional examples of dialogue, character voice, and (if available) interactive narrative

United States Pay Range
$110,000 - $150,000 USD
This range is determined by several factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. It is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
The final job level and compensation will be determined by the candidate’s work experience, years of relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, geographic location, and other business considerations.
