You will be part of the Metaverse Solutions group, the premier organisation for servicing and solving the problems of our metaverse. You will be working alongside experienced game developers familiar with all aspects of the game development lifecycle, including production, art, design, technology and operations. You will be working with notable names from the industry who are our partners and customers. As this is a growing area of Improbable, you will be directly involved in shaping both the technical and commercial direction of how metaverse experiences are developed and launched.
Your Opportunity:
- Promoting best-quality engineering practices, solutions and testing principles.
- Raising risks and critical issues early, raising their priority in projects and titles.
- Report on key quality measurements for project deliverables. Creating meaningful and impactful reports.
- Leverage your experience to create intelligent test plans leading to effective and efficient test runs and passes that uncover complex issues.
- Lead conversations around software and project quality
- Own the quality of core projects and integrate them into teams to impact and drive solutions that uplift quality.
- Running Scale, Network and Performance testing passes where needed to ensure project network infrastructure is stable and able to release with minimal impact on customers
Why You’re Made for This:
- Adept at understanding the best testing quality process, test costing, time estimation, risk analysis, and root cause analysis of defects.
- Familiarity with multiple operating systems and hardware. PC (Windows, Linux, Apple), Console (Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo), Mobile (iOS, Android) and VR.
- Promote cross-discipline knowledge sharing, e.g. work with technical engineers on how to best QA, e.g. network traffic or performance
- Experienced with Agile and development methodologies, being a standard bearer for QA, representing discipline in planning, weekly meetings, daily standups or scrums and other team Agile practices.
- Have worked with development environments such as Unreal, Unity, Xcode, Visual Studio, and Android SDKs and have familiarity with source control, such as GIT, SVN or Perforce.
- Have familiarity/ awareness with certification processes such as Apple, Steam, Xbox, Playstation, etc.
- have an awareness of ISTQB testing principles or, ideally, ISTQB foundation qualified (but not essential)
- Have experience testing multiplayer and or large-scale online games
