Summary

Jr. Quality Engineer will create solutions as part of an Operations Quality Team. They will work to find opportunities within the core philosophy of people, process, and technology. The area of operations can be any department within the Aristocrat Land-Based Gaming Business. They will investigate issues and develop solutions to drive Operational Excellence within the business.

This has been designated as a safety-sensitive job because it involves performing one or more tasks/duties that could reasonably affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task(s) or others.

What You'll Do

• Responsible for creating process, procedures, visuals, standards, check sheets, and forms for any department within the business.
• Generates charts and graphs to depict the current state of business and continual improvement progress.
• May Lead or participate in creating Go-No Go Gauges, Jigs, or other production and quality tools for ensuring compliant product.
• Perform internal and external audits independently.
• Responsible for results, documentation, and presentations to leadership within the business.
• Understand process deviations per Quality Deviation Procedure; take active steps to help address gap to close deviations.

• Must develop proficient working knowledge of all business unit operations.

• Must strictly follow quality standards

• Must be able to initiate corrective actions; Determine root causes and corrective action responses to close corrective actions.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to meet goals and deadlines on time.
• Lead special projects related to continuous improvement involving people, process, and technology.
• Lead Investigations to address defects related to deployment or post deployment opportunities
• Will Participate or lead in development and maintenance of quality documentation.
• Lead training efforts within the business to improve quality
• Must follow and support the BE-HIP² Culture (Honest, Intentional, Professional, Helpful, Inspirational, Persistent)
• Be a proactive advocate for safety
• Responsible for developing strong relationships and buy-in with each business unit.
• Advocate of safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with compliance regulations.

• Performs other duties and tasks that may be assigned by Quality Leadership.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma or equivalent with 7+ years of experience in manufacturing environment required. Two – Four years of Quality Experience Preferred
• Must be able to read and understand Engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation
• Must have experience and competence using standard inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, radius gages, height gage and other handheld inspection tools.
• Experience with electrical circuits, basic AC and DC circuit knowledge, electrical safety knowledge and use of digital multimeters is strongly desired.
• Must be familiar with engineering change orders,
• Good administrative skills and communication skills (written and verbal) required.
• Working knowledge of geometric tolerancing preferred (ANSI Y1.5 preferred). Experience with IPC-610 preferred.
• Math skills needed including working with fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Must be computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of inspection techniques

Will be regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear

• Will be occasionally required to kneel or crouch

• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds short distances without mechanical aid and frequently lift and/or move 20 pounds.
