Job Description
In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your broad skills as a quality inspector in support of manufacturing operations for Magic Leap products. Responsibilities include implementing, auditing, and improving quality inspection processes/procedures, as well as collecting, processing and reviewing test data with Operational and Engineering Teams. Strong attention-to-details and execution skills are essential to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain standardized visual and metrology inspection procedures
- Inspect incoming materials to confirm quality conformance to specifications
- Inspection of outgoing product as part of quality assurance team
- Daily tracking and documented reporting of product quality
- Maintain measurement equipment by following operating instructions
- Maintain continuous and stable level of visual inspection, per operating procedures
- Support continuous visual inspection calibration between inspection Associates, by means of training and auditing
- Collaborate with Operations and Engineering on quality issues troubleshooting including root cause and corrective actions
- Final say on product release based on performance to outgoing quality requirements
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated background in safety and teamwork, preferably in a high standard lean manufacturing environment
- Min 3 years of experience in controlled environment facility.
- Understanding of Clean Room Protocol requirements and use of personal protective equipment
- Flexibility to work in shift schedule as the initial positions will be on the first shift. Eventually, operations will be running in a 7x24 pattern
- Lean Manufacturing Training
- Training on semiconductor processes will be an asset.
Education:
- Minimum: High School degree or equivalent; Bachelor or Technical degree preferred.
- Computer skills and proficient use of Microsoft Office software
