POSITION
Miniclip is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to hire in our Lisbon (Portugal) Games Development Studio. This is a full-time, permanent position; please apply only if you have the right to work in Portugal.
The Quality Assurance Engineering (QAE) team develops and maintains internal tools that aim to expedite the Development and Quality Assurance teams. The tool ecosystem developed by the QAE team focus not only on providing a mobile test automation framework and respective monitoring, but also in creating and facilitating access to several automation mechanisms aimed at accelerating software development iterations. Also, there is a focus on processing the data generated by automation, shaping it into relevant information that can help uncover issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work across the development and quality assurance teams to architect and implement appropriate product-wide automated test solutions, focusing on the product requirements
- Maintain and extend the existing mobile automated testing framework and test monitoring tools
- Extend how data collected during automated test runs can be processed to add new information
- Participate in evolving the Continuous Integration infrastructure
- Be an active voice in (and outside of) the team, proposing optimizations across, or implementing new tools to the QAE ecosystem
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
We’re looking for a social, hard-working person who embraces teamwork and is passionate and dedicated about his/her work.
The ideal candidate will have the following profile:
- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent degree
- 2+ year experience as a “Software Engineer in Test”, “Quality Assurance Engineer” or similar
- (Experience as “Software Engineer” might also be considered)
- Thorough understanding of Quality Assurance processes, standards, methodologies and tools
- Solid programming skills in Java and C++
- Experience managing Jenkins CI/CD environments
- Experience in Linux or macOS environments
- Proactivity to improve the Test Automation and Continuous Integration solutions by continuously seeking to innovate
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
The following skills are desirable but not essential (if you have them, don’t forget to mention them):
- Experience with Appium framework
- Good knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Lua or shell
- Experience in Unity game engine (or simply with C#)
