Amazon Games is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to partner with top-notch software developers on our growing fraud prevention platform to solve deep technical problems and build innovative testing solutions. If you enjoy being challenged to solve difficult problems with a high degree of ambiguity and are a motivated self-starter who thrives in a startup-like environment where flexibility is essential, this role may be for you!

In this role, you will be responsible for building the test strategy, plan, and processes for our fraud prevention platform from the ground up. You will work closely with leads from engineering, product, and user experience to understand features and technical implementation. You are able to look at the big picture from the business, technology, and bad actor/hacker perspectives, possess strong analytical judgement and problem-solving skills, and enjoy working with data.

A day in the life
You take the time to deeply understand the fraud prevention systems and products, how they are intended to work, how they affect other dependencies, and how engineering changes are delivered. You work with team owners across disciplines and ensure code, components, and features are tested at the appropriate level (e.g., unit test, integration test, functional, UI). You move the state of QA forward.

About the team
The Amazon Game Growth Fraud Prevention team is responsible for preventing, detecting, and mitigating fraud and abuse that bad actors incur on the business. Bad actors change tactics often; our job is to stop them by building robust, data-driven solutions that scale. We invent new techniques and leverage industry standards (credit card authorization, address verification, machine learning, etc.) to combat payments fraud, account takeover, and novel fraud vectors. Our team is also responsible for ensuring that legitimate customers are not negatively impacted and that we provide a fast and seamless experience.

Basic Qualifications

· BS/MS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent knowledge via self-study or work experience of 3+ years)
· 5+ years QA experience
· 2+ years of experience with 1+ scripting languages (Perl, Python, Bash)

Preferred Qualifications

· Proficiency in STLC, test methodologies, and problem solving
· Proficiency operating in a Linux environment
· Experience working in the payments or fraud prevention industry
· Experience with open source test tools, make files and build scripts
