QA Tester- MetaTeq, Purpose-Driven Games

Position Purpose

The QA Tester I is responsible for testing a specific project, or projects, under the guidance and direction of the Lead Tester and QA Manager. The primary function of the QA Tester is to test a game for software bugs, enter detailed information about those bugs in a database, and track their progress until the game is shipped. Additionally, some tasks may require periods of high physical activity.

Essential J ob Functions

• Test multiple task lists and test cases
• Log articulate and detailed bugs into our database using precise and detailed descriptions and steps required to reproduce the bugs
• Identify the bu gs root cause whenever possible
• Ensure timely response on requests for more information, and proper bug flow
• Verify that bugs marked “fixed” in the database are indee d fixed before closing the bug
• Notify appropriate team members of verified bugs; reproduce bugs for programmers and other team members
• Other duties /projects as directed

Qualifications/Skills Sets

• A ctively play s games and is engaged with the modern gaming landscape
• Technical proficiency , such as computer networking or IT
• Experience with MS Office and database entry
• Excellent grasp of proper English grammar both written and conversational

Mandatory Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen ( due to the nature of the role )

Education & Experience Required

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree is preferred. One to three years of experience is required .
