Madbox is a mobile gaming company, creating and publishing its own games worldwide. Since 2018 Madbox has gathered more than 300 million players, still growing. We are looking for top talents with mad skills, a mad passion and a mad ambition to join us.
After our success in the hypercasual segment, we are now developing casual games - with a first launch scheduled in the next few months - and are looking for a QA Tester in our studio in Barcelona.
Quality is core to the experience we want to deliver to our players, and we want to make sure all of our productions are carefully tested and polished.
As a Quality Assurance Tester, you will have a central role in this process. You will be in charge of doing game testing, bug recording and follow ups in order to boost the games quality. Working with the Production Team, you will have a key role in helping the Production in assessing projects' health and progress.
As everyone is deeply involved in the game making process, you might also have to set up playtesting sessions and install games on devices for the team to try out.
What will you do ?
- Test our games to cover all areas and features and record issues in a database
- Follow-up on bugs to ensure their status are updated
- Establish the documentation and workflow and take part into the prioritization process to make sure deadlines are respected
- Communicate with the production team and the Game Lead to help drive the quality effort
- Manage the third parties and collaborate directly with the QA Team in our studio in Paris
- Ensure maximum quality on every games to deliver the best User Experience to our players
- Drive new projects
Mad Skills Required
- Sense of quality in gaming and have a strong game feel
- Previous Experience in functionality testing in a Mobile Game Studio
- Familiarity and experience with iOS and Android platforms
- Rigorous organization skills and autonomy
- Ability to read data dashboards, crash analytics etc...
- Strong understanding of the mobile gaming industry (especially Casual)
- Good understanding of the User Experience
- Excellent level of English (written and spoken)
Nice to have
- Knowledge about automation mechanisms
- Knowledge in programming (C#) and Game Engine (Unity)
