QA Project Coordinator - Stellaris
The QA Department are our guardians of quality, the ones that ensure that the games we release are up to the standards of our much beloved players. If you want to be part of ensuring that, and you want to work in a social and coordinating role, then this just might be for you!
About the role
As a QA Project Coordinator at Paradox, your role will entail working closely with the QA Lead, but also assist in creating a relationship with producers, internal stakeholders and various outsourcing partners. You will ensure that new features are thoroughly tested, coordinating between the different disciplines, as well as hands-on QA work, such as writing up test plans and engaging with the game to report defects. For you to succeed in this role, communication- and organization skills are key.
In this role you will get a chance to interact with almost the entire organization, and will get very familiar with both our people and our games. We believe strongly in the Swedish way of “Freedom with responsibility”, which means that you will have a lot of autonomy in your role. Since you never know what bugs may show up or what challenges you might have to face, there will always be something new that this role will have to offer.
As a QA Project Coordinator on Stellaris you will be required to perform both administrative tasks such as data manipulation and presentation as well as directly engaging with the project as a QA expert - reporting defects, regression testing and providing feedback on the features that are being developed.
Requirements
- Game education or professional experience within related field
- Strong communicative and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience from the game industry is a strong bonus, however, experience from the software industry will also be considered
- Experience in using Jira or other bug databases
- Comfortable with manipulating and interpreting data in Excel or Google Sheets
- Fluent in written and spoken English
We believe that for you to succeed in this role, it’s important that you are people-oriented, since you will be the contact point for a lot of your stakeholders. When in contact with them, it’s going to benefit you greatly to be as concise and clear in your communication, while keeping it relevant. Additionally, we are looking for an individual with a strong process-oriented mindset, constantly looking for ways to improve existing structures or outright build new ones.
Some of our benefits include:
If you think that this description matches you, we highly encourage you to apply as soon as possible as we will interview candidates continuously. If you don't match all the requirements, please demonstrate how your passion, attitude and interest in Paradox might compensate for this.
At Paradox Interactive we celebrate difference and care deeply about diversity and inclusion. We therefore encourage you, no matter who you are, to apply for this job if you think you’d be a great addition to our team.
