QA Programmer
The QA programmer will aid the QA DevTest team and development team in creating automated tools which will increase and enhance the workflow of QA and development.
Type of position: Permanent, full-time
Responsibilities:
- Provide automated solutions for QA to replace manual testing. Such as:
- Performance Capturing
- Smoke Tests
- Pre-flights builds/Devtest Builds
- Nightly build reporting
- Game Cheats/Game Hooks
- Telemetry
- Enhanced bug capturing (detailed crash logs, screenshots etc.)
- Build central toolkit of test harnesses and Ubisoft systems/engines experience
- Support build stability and quality metrics for Ubisoft titles in development
- Create comprehensive test plans/infrastructure and implementation for scalability, and automated functionality testing for assigned project
- Investigate and create test solutions to optimize testing for the assigned project
Additional Responsibilities (Online):
- Develop test harness to automate launching/controlling/exiting of client and server
- Develop test cases using in-game and external controllers
- Help developers design specific test systems to fit with replication test objectives
- Aid in the creation of robust in-client and in-server bug reporting API using Bloomberg
- Enhance platform replication testing by automating Xbox One and PS4 test runs and reporting mechanisms
- Automate video recording/synchronization/processing
- Can set up Matchmaking/Connectivity/NAT scenarios (multi-User Scenarios Multi-Instance tests)
- Interact and collaborate with different departments;
- Carry out all other relevant tasks.
Training:
Bachelor of Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent training or experience.
Experience:
- 3-5 years’ C++ programming experience in the video game sector, or relevant fields; games industry experience preferred.
- Solid knowledge of programming design patterns and recognition of programming standards.
- Experience in high-level OOPL (C#, Java, Python, etc.)
- Experience with distributed application automation (multiple processes, multiple users)
- Professional experience with test specification and test case implementation
- Experience with video recording and reporting is a bonus
