QA Producer - CONAN EXILES

From critically acclaimed The Longest Journey to the very first sci-fi MMO Anarchy Online, to the brutal trials of Conan Exiles, our 28-year history has set our players uniquely up for a journey to the harsh world of Dune, where the continual battle for survival and spice will bring a challenge that is Legendary.

The Funcom team consists of over 250 people located in 5 studios - Norway, the US, Portugal, Sweden, a newly opened Romania studio - plus an additional UI/UX hub in the UK. As part of Funcom’s ongoing growth, and completing a successful turnaround, Funcom is now backed by Tencent, the largest online gaming company in the world!

Now, our studio in Bucharest, Romania needs a QA Producer to be the QA spokesperson and quality champion for one of Funcom’s top franchises, ensuring a quality experience for our players.

Your Mission in Funcom

As a QA Producer, you will be responsible for all things related to QA for one of Funcom's top franchise - Conan Exiles.

You will be the QA strategist in the project. You’ll define how teams are structured, how they interact and work together.

You’ll spot opportunities and make them turn to reality. You’ll foresee potential risks and make them go away.

You will lead multiple DevQA and CoreQA teams across several studios ensuring high-quality experiences for our players.

You will be part of the production team on the project, maintaining a smooth game development workflow and enabling a culture of collaboration between the QA and Production teams.

You’ll help the team and the project grow and evolve. You’ll keep an eye on what’s happening in the industry, constantly finding ways to improve the way we develop and test the game.

You will be the QA spokesperson and quality champion for the project, working hand-in-hand with the development team.

• Help the game be great
• Define the project’s QA strategy – how we work, how we’re organized, how we communicate
• Lead the QA teams, help them evolve
• Be the gatekeeper for QA processes and standards
• Planning and budgeting
• Work together with other producers to maintain an excellent ongoing synergy between QA and production teams
• Help define the company’s global QA Strategy

We are looking for someone that has:

• Passion for video games
• Proactive mentality
• Clear, effective communication across teams and cultures
• An agile, quality-oriented mindset
• Experience in the game industry working in a QA or related role
• Experience leading/managing teams
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and tools, video game testing standards, and the video game development cycle
• Project Management knowledge (Project planning, prioritization, partner management, risk management)
• Passion for leadership and mentoring

It will be great if that someone also has experience with:

• Leading production and dev QA teams
• Open-world and multiplayer games
• PC and Console games
• Automation
• The full test cycle of a game, through alpha, beta, launch, and maintenance
