QA Manager

Illfonic is looking for an expereinced QA Manager to manage our QA team. You will be responsible for managing quality assurance testing activities to ensure the functionally and integrity across all our projects in development. This involves managing internal QA staff and external vendors, defining and improving processes, and working with interdisciplinary leads to define best practices for testing.
Founded in 2007, IllFonic (IllFonic, LLC) is an independent video game developer with studios in Lakewood, Colorado; Tacoma, Washington; and Austin, Texas. Our staff is composed of video game, music, and technology veterans redefining how games are made and marketed. Past titles and collaborations include Arcadegeddon, Predator: Hunting Grounds, Friday the 13th: The Game, Dead Alliance, Star Citizen, Evolve, Armored Warfare, and Nexuiz.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, mentor, and support QA staff in relation to project and company goals.
- Define, improve, and enforce implemented test plans, metrics, reporting, methodologies, and communication processes for the QA team.
- Report the overall project status and risk assessment to the project and studio leadership team.
- Oversee the hiring and project ramp up plan for QA on each project.
- Build and foster good working relationships with project leads.

- Manage outsource QA vendor relationships.
- Continually seek to improve the QA process by keeping up with industry best practices and standards.
Requirements:
- 6+ Years of QA Management experience in a development environment.
- Experience with managing QA in Live Game Operations and/or Games as a Service product.
- Experience with both PC and console development and the certification process with first parties.
- Experience with localization and region specific requirements.
- Experience managing outsource QA vendors.
- Experience managing a mix of internal and work for hire QA staff.
- Experience working with publisher QA to adequately support the best interests of all parties.
- Proven track record of mentoring individuals for promotion internally and reaching personal goals.
