QA Manager

Gravity Well is looking for someone to help build and mentor a knowledgeable, experienced QA team. We want to find someone who loves the process of QA, strives to create bug free games, and enjoys working directly with developers to ship something they are proud of.
You will help define the philosophy of the QA team and work with all departments to foster a culture and passion for quality.
What You'll Do:
- Find, document, and reproduce bugs within the game, engine and dev tools.
- Help define, guide, and improve the QA process with the QA Director.
- Acquire knowledge around development processes, tools and engine and share with the QA team.
- Take ownership over assigned areas by documenting important information and creating test plans and automation.
- Be a go-to person within QA and help ensure the team is meeting expectations.
- Assist with build process and maintaining Jenkins automation.
- Help hire, train, and mentor QA staff with the QA Director.
- Support the production department with tasks and schedule upkeep.
You Have:
- Experience maintaining a bug database.
- Worked on a full cycle AAA game.
- Excellent problem solving.
- Excellent communication.
- Strong ownership values.
- Self driven individual who strives to create bug free games.
- Experience mentoring team members to maximum potential.
Ideally You'll Have:
- Experience with Unreal Engine.
- Experience with automated testing.
- Programming/scripting/technical experience.
What You’ll Get:
- The base pay for this role is $125,000 to $150,000 USD per year and is applicable to US-based employees only. We pay fairly across our global team regardless of your location but it will differ based on factors such as experience, qualifications etc.

Where You'll Work:
- This position allows for a hybrid work schedule but candidates must be available to be on site in our Sherman Oaks office as required.
