Job Description Summary

Job Requirements

·Maintain and evolve QA processes, methodology and testing standards across programs and multiple projects.

·Standardized testing processes and tools across multiple projects and develop strategies to achieve the highest level of quality outcomes.

·Implement and evolve appropriate measurements and metrics to be applied against the solution under test.

·Plan, deploy and project manage the testing effort for any given project.

·Deploying and managing the appropriate testing framework to meet the testing mandate for any given project.

·Design and deliver testing strategies and test planning for any given project.

·Evaluate resources and budget to ensure financial and operational goals are met.

·Provide QA reviews of documentation, models, designs, and executable delivered by internal and outsourced software development activities covering business process definition, requirements, solution design, testing and deployment.

·Assess and report on compliance of deliverables.

·Interpret standards and procedures, and assist in resolving quality gaps and issues.

·Develop and implement approach to address quality gaps and deficiencies.

·Identify and report on quality related risks. Contribute to the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.

·Monitor, evaluate and report testing progress, risks and issues to leadership team and key stakeholders.

·Lead and manage overall QA and testing process, test types, test phases and ensure entry and exit criteria are met for each test phase.

·Oversees planning, tracking and managing test environment setup activities.

·Work closely with Project Managers to deliver testing activities for ERP implementation program across multiple projects.

·Establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, IT team members, peer groups and business stakeholders across the organization.

·Facilitate resolution of any business issues that have been escalated beyond standard testing practices.

·Manage external stakeholders relevant to the achievement of business goals.

·Manage effective communication with all stakeholders.

·Consult with internal/external information custodians and information sources.

·Cooperate with stakeholders and team members to meet strict delivery deadlines.

·Proactively take ownership and management of issues and participate in problem solving activities.

·Report on activities, communications, performance monitoring and overall business satisfaction status to leadership team.

·Communicate and update testing status and outcomes to key stakeholders.

·Play a supporting role to help businesses execute their business strategies.

·Enthusiastically contribute to the effectiveness of the team through positive and productive personal behaviors.

·Demonstrate proactive ability to impart knowledge and mentor others in acquiring skills.

·Lead, manage, support and coach QA team by focusing on deliverables and goals that are collaboratively owned.

·Contribute knowledge and provide expertise where required to support and/or direction to project and program manager(s) in overcoming hurdles and moving projects forward by proactively mitigating open issues and project risks.

·Act as a positive role model for others in terms of work ethics and professionalism.

Qualifications

·Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems or related IT discipline.

·Minimum 7 years experience in software delivery environment, with at least 3 years experience in leadership of QA/testing team.

·Proven experience in QA and testing of a wide range of implementations such as ERP, CRM, integrations and data warehouse projects.

·Proven experience in implementation and use of test management and execution tools.

·Proven experience in all phases of software development life cycle with good understanding of project management methodologies.

·Excellent understanding of testing methods, standards, and common software failures/faults.

·Strong focus on and commitment to quality.

·Results focused approach and history of delivering quality outcomes to set deadlines.

·Ability to communicate and collaborate across all management and organizational levels.

·Ability to work with limited direction and deliver results with consistency and accuracy.

·Proven record of strong leadership skills.

·Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as organization and documentation skills.

·Communicates effectively with technical and non-technical personnel, customers, implementation partners and vendors in written and verbal forms.
