QA Manager (Video Games)

QA MANAGER (VIDEO GAMES)

Manage a quality assurance team for assigned projects & staff by managing the test process and submissions, internal resource planning, ensuring the highest quality of product to meet deadlines, organizing all related staff and departmental issues. Working in the Las Vegas office and reporting to the SVP of QA and Submissions.

• Manage allocated projects/titles
• Supervise QA Lead Testers, Associate Lead Testers, Senior Testers and QA Testers
• Feedback & liaison with Functional & Compliance QA, Producers, Developers, & other external departments
• Liaison with platform holders to ensure guidelines & standards compliance
• Joint sign-off of development milestones and managing the submission process
• Manage bug reports, bug database(s) and various QA reports
• Manage department on a day-to-day basis
• Perform quarterly and annual reviews of staff
• Build successful working relationships with all stake holders
• Actively participate in the recruiting and interview process

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, internally & externally
• Management skills to include: successfully handling ambiguity, flexibility & understanding of the development process, and maintain good relations with producers and developers.
• Knowledge of bug database systems, QA process, test plan creation, and bug writing process
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Lead, Lead QA Tester or equivalent
• Knowledge of format holder standards (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo)
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite, Source Control and Visual Studio
• Technically proficient with PCs, gaming consoles, and related hardware
• Ability to liaise with other departments

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum age of 18 years and above
• PC hardware literate
• Mastering literate
• Passion for the video games industry
• Willingness to adopt a broad overview of the department
• Well-developed interpersonal, communication, presentation and management skills
• Must be able to lead and mentor a team
• Attention to detail and positive personality to foster excellent working relationships
• Must be able to communicate effectively and successfully in English, in both written and oral forms
• Hardworking, reliable and punctual with flexibility to work various hours depending on deadlines
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs. and sit for prolonged periods of time

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline
• Previous project management experience in a gaming environment
