About the role:
As QA Lead, your job is to ensure that we adhere to the highest quality standards and deliver flawless experiences to our players. You have a team of professional QA specialists that you will be leading and guiding to implement the required improvements, processes, tools etc. to make your vision of top notch quality in a live game come true.
This is a key role in the team, reporting directly to our Technical Director. You will be able to impact many areas of the project, here are some examples:
- Improve development processes from a quality perspective
- Bug management (prevention, detection, tracking)
- Reducing incidents & collecting learnings through post mortems
- Making sure quality is taken into account during preproduction of new features
- Managing test suites & external test runs
- Creating short-, mid- and long-term plans to improve our quality metrics
- Owning the roadmap for the QA team
- Supporting the Live Ops team to deliver new content on a daily basis
- Exploring opportunities for test automation
As the lead of your team, you will also be responsible for:
- Supporting your direct reports in their professional growth
- Making sure your team maintains a high level of motivation, engagement & work/life balance
- Helping your team to collect feedback & identify improvement opportunities
- If needed, hiring & onboarding of new talent
You have:
- 5+ years of experience in QA for mobile F2P games
- Experience with leading a QA team in a live game environment
- Experience as people manager (i.e. you were responsible for direct reports)
- Worked on a top grossing game with high-volume, fast-paced live ops
Required skills:
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English
- Strategic thinking: assessing the situation, creating plans & executing them
- You’re constantly raising the quality bar for yourself and everyone around you
- Servant leadership, being able to get your team to the next level
Nice to have:
- Experience with managing bugs through JIRA
- You have managed test plans & runs with Testrails
- Worked in an Agile development environment with cross-functional pods/squads
- You have created proposals, presented them to stakeholders & executed on them
