QA Lead

And this is where you come into play - we are looking for an experienced QA Lead to ensure the quality of our game, Predecessor, across all platforms. You will work closely with production, the release manager, and company leadership to drive the highest quality standards throughout the development process.

In This Role You Will

• Lead and guide the remote QA team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment that empowers them to excel in their roles.
• Manage and oversee the QA process across multiple platforms, including PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, ensuring your team maintains the highest quality standards.
• Improve and manage QA tools, logs, and processes to create efficient and accurate testing.
• Monitor and track the progress of testing activities, prepare reports on testing results, and ensure your team communicates findings effectively to relevant stakeholders.
• Support the release process by overseeing the greenlighting of Release Candidates and coordinating with live-ops teams to ensure smooth launches, while guiding your team in these efforts.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to align your team’s test plans with feature changes and updates, providing strategic direction and support as needed.
• Ensure the creation of comprehensive test plans and cases that cover all necessary scenarios and comply with platform-specific requirements, while mentoring your team in developing these plans.
• Organise and coordinate internal playtest sessions; empower your team to select suitable builds and set up the testing environment effectively.

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of QA experience in the gaming industry, with at least 2 years of those in a lead capacity.
• An experienced manager who inspires, sets the team up for success, and is able to solve challenging situations.
• Proven experience in a GaaS (Games as a Service) environment with regular updates and content releases.
• Extensive knowledge of game production pipelines, tools, testing methodologies, and automation.
• Experience in releasing games on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to lead remote teams effectively.
• Proficiency with bug-tracking tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and familiarity with crash reporting, source control, and CI tools.
• Experience with test automation, as we are pushing for increased automation in our processes.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Unreal Engine 5 projects.
• Located close to London.
