QA Lead - Player Platform, Payments

As a Quality Assurance Lead on the Payments team, you’ll report to a QA Manager. The Payments teams mission at Riot is to provide players a fair, convenient, and secure payments experience across products like League of Legends, VALORANT, Legends of Runeterra, and beyond. Our engineers use their expertise in building large-scale distributed systems to help game teams monetize. Millions of players trust us with their money and it’s up to us to ensure each transaction occurs seamlessly .

Responsibilities:

• Promote creation and execution of a team-level quality strategy
• Handle communication related to test status with all partners
• Guide external partner teams, overseeing and auditing their work
• Manage the defect database for the team, setting and enforcing best practices
• Create test plans, test cases, and establish the structure and rhythm of testing
• Improve on methods of test execution at the team-level

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of software QA experience
• Experience testing services
• Experience with strategic goal setting

Desired Qualifications:

• QA experience working on backend systems and services in game development
• Comfortable with deep-dive investigations and testing technical implementations.
• Experience with testing financial systems
• Experience coordinating external vendor teams
• Experience with Test Automation
• ISTQB Foundation Level Certification
• Experience with monitoring , debugging, and reliability testing
