QA Engineer

Proletariat is seeking candidates for a brand new QA Engineer position to work on our current game in development, Spellbreak. The individual in this position will be a member of the QA team who collaborates with our Core Tech Engineering team to design and create QA software and tools that test the functionality of game content and backend structure prior to release. The most successful individual in this role will have prior experience working independently in multi-disciplinary teams.
Responsibilities :
- Designs automation of tests for CoreTech
- Implements automation tools for QA test plans
- Assists Build & Release engineers in debugging Jenkins-related issues
- Collaborates in debugging crashes (making crash output logs human-readable, setting breakpoints, etc.)
- Assists other QA staff in manual testing
- Provides insight into any process improvements necessary to enhance current procedures
- Utilizes technical expertise to mentor and provide technical information to other team members
Requirements :
- 3-5 years of experience in positions with increasing responsibility required
- Familiarity working in Visual Studio with C++ or C#
- Experience in the architecture and creation of automation frameworks, test harnesses, and/or QA-focused tools
- Worked in large C++ or C# code bases
- QA Experience working on backend systems and services in game development
- Comfort working in JIRA or other similar tools preferred
- Comfort working in TestRail preferred
- Prior experience working with Jenkins preferred
- Prior experience with current gen console development preferred
