QA Engineer

ML Horizons is seeking a motivated QA Engineer to help our teams deliver high quality spatial computing projects, focused on Defense and Public Sector application. The QA Engineer creates and executes test plans to verify the quality and stability of our prototypes and tools, coordinates with designers and engineers to identify QA focus areas and rolls up their sleeves to run the tests.

Responsibilities

• Creates and executes test strategies and cases for our XR based prototypes
• Communicates task results to the team and project manager
• Proactively identifies areas of improvement or concern
• Collaborates with engineering, design and production to enable best testing practices
• Works with the Build and Release team to ensure nightly builds are properly verified and elevates problems to the appropriate leads
• Builds and maintains scripts and tools to enable efficient testing

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the QA field with a technical background
• Experience working with XR platforms with a strong understanding of game engines
• Experience with Jenkins, Python, Bash and other automation drivers
• Comfortable with Git and Perforce as source control services
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices
• Ability to write effective and efficient test cases based on complex systems and features
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to express complex ideas, designs, and issues to both technical and non-technical staff
• Experience with Unity a strong plus
• Experience with Jira and TestRail a plus

Education

• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
