QA Engineer (Game Engine)

With multiple awards to our name, Larian Studios has proven that we’re dedicated to delivering high-quality role-playing games. We’re now looking for a QA Engineer to join our Barcelona Studio

Responsibilities

• Perform all kinds of manual testing (regression, integration etc)
• Closely assist the programming team with testing specific changes before code gets in the main developer branches
• Test and help improve our production pipelines and tools
• Test new builds to ensure stability of the tools
• Follow priorities given by QA Lead to ensure current team wide goals are met
• Report bugs, validate bug corrections
• Assure follow-up of tickets during different production phases
• Manage the bug tracking system
• First line of support for the production team with regard to any technical issues

Requirements

• Experience in programming and/or scripting
• Experience working with Game Engines
• Experience with Perforce or other version control systems;
• Good judgement to estimate the significance and consequences of the bugs
• Rigorous and methodical, autonomous and resourceful approach
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Good communication skills in spoken/written English (must have a resume in English)
• You are a team player and willing to take responsibility
• Passion for video games

Nice to Haves

• Prior experience in QA is a big plus
• Knowledge of JIRA and Jenkins
• Familiar with the RPG genre
