Job Overview
The QA Delivery and Deployment Manager is a critical position within the QA department that assists QA Manager in establishing effective and efficient QA function and collaborates with Development Management, Automation, Feature Owners and Product teams to ensure thorough test coverage of original launch and ongoing frequent release cycle across supported all platforms combined with monitoring of release health.
You’ll have the chance to play a vital part in setting up QA processes, tools, building, hiring and managing team of embedded QA analysts as well as overseeing remote and external test teams.

This role is based in Guildford and reports to the QA Manager
What will you do?
- Manage internal functional QA team and oversee test activities conducted by remote and external QA teams
- Collaborate with other Automation, Certification/Compatibility and Localisation Leads to accomplish scoped in QA tasks efficiently within scheduled timeline and with a high level of quality
- Assist in identifying new testing tools, solutions, debug options and automation opportunities and proving their value to the project
- Develop and maintain QA resource schedule, test plans and guidelines
- Support and train external and remote QA teams in new QA processes and tools introduced to the project
- Provide ongoing project risk analysis and report on delivery and deployment status
- Help administrate and maintain QA tools and test accounts
- Demonstrate transparency and active communication with feature teams and dev management
- Drive the adoption of reporting standards and templates
- Recommend QA metrics and implement dashboards to visualize development and operational status of the project
- Run QA retrospective meetings and inform team members on new action items
- Point out gaps in project’s test strategy and opportunities to improve process and methodology
What are we looking for
- 6+ years of QA experience in games industry with minimum 3 years of managerial/lead level experience
- Expert understanding of software QA and games development practices and terminology
- Experience in resource management, including hiring and career management.
- Strong background and effective use of external test teams to execute your test plans. (Task estimation, team organisation, task prioritisation, etc.)
- Great communication, risk analysis and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to motivate teams, mentor individuals and operate effectively in a dynamic environment
- Good working knowledge of source control and CI tools
- Robust initiative and ability to pro-actively self-manage
What additional skills/experience will help you stand out
- ISTQB/ISEB Foundation certifications or equivalent certifications
- Familiarity with Unreal 4 toolchains
- Experience of Live Ops and Games-as-a-service projects
- Experience with Continuous Testing and utilizing automation frameworks
- Knowledge of programming (e.g. C#/C++) and scripting (Python) languages
