QA Automation Engineer

Summary

What You'll Do

• Leading the technology execution of QA automation within the enterprise applications organization
• Directing and mentoring other QA engineers in the use of the testing framework.
• Directing and collaborating with onsite/offshore teams, conducting necessary KTs and providing full support whenever it was required.
• Leading developing of test strategies and test plans.
• Ensuring the appropriate test environments and infrastructures are in place and kept up to date.
• Preparing, gathering, and managing automation test data, ensuring the readiness of the testing environments.
• Developing and continually improving automated tests as new system features and enhancements are developed.
• Execute automated tests and manage the resulting defect logs.
• Identifying and reporting problematic functions, performance concerns, and inconsistencies to development teams.
• Documenting and maintaining the testing framework.
• Coordinating with QA team members, Developers, Project Managers and Clients to resolve issues.
• Participating in Technical and Use Case review meetings for various functionalities in the application.
• Reviewing functional requirements, test case scenarios and test case designing.
• Assisting in the identification, selection, and implementation of tools, technologies, and practices that support the overall QA process.
• Contributing to accurate time estimates for automation test development.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, engineering, or another related field
• 5 years of experience in test automation
• Experience building automation frameworks for web-based software as well as on mobile platforms.
• Experience in Medium to Large enterprise IT environments.
• Experience building test plans, test cases and test scenarios.
• Experience with building test cases using Microsoft Azure Dev Ops.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle.
• Demonstrated ability to cooperate in cross-functional work teams toward task completion.
• Demonstrated effective analytical skills.
• Advanced written and interpseronal communication skills are a must.
• Experience with SaaS and on-prem software platforms.
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Willingness to pitch ideas and test new approaches.
