We are looking for a qualified individual to join our in-house testing team. The QA Analyst will work with closely with the QA team and other disciplines to test the game, the Nitrous engine, and internal tools. This person will focus on identifying testing needs, creating test plans, and executing tests.
In this role you will…
- Create and execute test plans for the game, tools and other Oxide software
- Identify and document reproduction steps for defects
- Perform initial debugging of defects to provide insight into root cause
- Work closely with developers to improve QA process
- Capture and analyze test data for reporting
What types of education and experience do you need for this role?
- 2+ years QA experience in games or B.S. in computer science or game design/development
- Experience with software development life cycles and testing game functionality
- Experience with test plan development and documentation
- Ability to emulate end user experience and test accordingly
- Self-motivated
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills
As a plus
- Knowledge of C++, C#, SQL, and/or Python
- Game testing experience on one or more AAA titles
- Experience with test automation
- Debugging experience using Visual Studio
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops
- Experience with Perforce
