Job Description
What we’re looking for?
Quality Assurance Analysts are the senior members of a team that is responsible for measuring the quality of video games in development. They are entrusted to evaluate any software systems being designed and integrated and to lead the quality assurance testing efforts.
Missions:
- Ensure the user experience is compelling and follows the requirements established by the creative teams,
- Analyze design and technical documentation, and provide critical analysis,
- Design and execute test strategies that have a high coverage percentage,
- Identify and report risk assessments in the implementations of any game module,
- Design tools to facilitate the testing and deeper analysis of the applications,
- Be actively involved in improving test methodologies and procedures for the department,
- Lead the technical direction for the procedures applied by the QA team on a project,
- Mentor QA peers and foster good development growth for the team.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- 6-8 years experience in software quality assurance, preferably video games,
- Experience in Apple iOS and Google Play Android guidelines and certification,
- Excellent communication skills; ability to network efficiently with internal and external peers,
- Positive attitude and ability to provide and receive constructive criticism,
- Ability to coach others, and to create development programs and workshops,
- Working knowledge of software development process and QA’s role in it,
- Mastery of the Software Testing Life Cycle, applied to video game development,
- Solid understanding of testing software systems such as client-server, API endpoints, platform performance, and large data structures,
- Experienced with risk assessment and prioritization within the context of video games testing.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with data analysis in a quality control environment,
- Diploma in software testing or other quality assurance certification,
- College or University diploma in Computer Science or related field,
- Working knowledge of the Unity game editor, or similar engine program,
- Experience with version control software.
